How tender, how fragile, how vulnerable Hope is. . . .
It needs to be carefully guarded, tenderly cared for,
Cherished until it flourishes in our hearts,
And never taken for granted.

Emily Dickinson wrote a dear poem that spoke
Of hope's tender character.
Its opening line is the inspiration for this design:
