Compassion

 

Whether in the Psalms where the Lord is praised for His compassion,
Or is Isaiah or Jeremiah or the Gospels --
We can read accounts over and over again of how
The Lord was continually moved to act "with passion"
And loving care to help His people.

Jesus is described throughout the Gospels as being full of compassion --
Healing everyone who sought His help.

So, too, as true followers of Jesus, we are called to care for the "least" among us.
As Jesus told us:
"Whatever you do for the least of my brothers -- You do it for Me."
(Matthew -- Chapter 25)

Most often, the cyclamen was used to represent the profound compassion
That Mary experienced in seeing Jesus suffer.

May our love for Jesus lead us to always reach out to those in need,
