Candletree

This design represents the origins of both the Christmas Tree as well as Christmas ornaments.

According to legend, the 8th Century Christian missionary St. Boniface was the first to use the evergreen tree as a symbol of everlasting life in Christ, as he taught the people of Germany.

In the 16th Century, when Martin Luther was inspired by the sight of a star-y sky glittering through the evergreen boughs. He is said to have been the very first to decorate an evergreen tree by using candles.
